Yun Lai Viewpoint, Pai

Yun Lai Viewpoint is a must-visit destination for those visiting Pai. Known for its beautiful sweeping views of the valley and stunning sunrise, it’s located just 6km west of Pai, around a 15-minute drive from the center of town. The best way to get there is by renting a scooter, which can be found for as little as 150 Baht per day in the center of Pai. Alternatively, some accommodations offer scooter rentals for a similar price.

The entrance fee to Yun Lai Viewpoint is 20 Baht and it’s open daily from dawn to dusk. To fully enjoy the experience, it’s recommended to arrive at the viewpoint between 6:00 am – 6:30 am and arrive early to find a quiet spot to enjoy the sunrise. The viewpoint offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountainous region and the township of Pai. There is also a cafe on-site that serves hot coffee and baked goods, as well as bungalow accommodations and tent sites available to book.

Despite the number of tourists that visit this viewpoint each morning, there are still secluded and quieter spots to be found in the flower fields beneath the main viewing platform for a better sunrise experience.
