Ubon Ratchathani, a province in northeastern Thailand’s Isan region, is a rural province of rice paddies and small villages. You can find here the Pha Taem National Park which features waterfalls and ancient cliff paintings. Phu Chong Nayoi is another national park that is unspoiled and has unvisited natural preserves.

It is the most important event in the province in which huge and elaborately carved candles are paraded throughout the city.
