Mae Tho National Park, Chiang Mai

Mae Tho National Park is located in both Amphoe Hot and Mae Jaem in Chiang Mai. An approximate area is 990 sq. km the geographic characteristic of the area is hill country and Ging Rai Mon is the highest hill with 1,715 metre from sea level. The hills in this area are covered by forests and have water spring that supply Jaem Creek and Lid Creek. Enjoy the views of Mae Tho National Park and when you come down the hill you can see rice terrace of local villagers and the most beautiful time would be during winter where the rice will lush with green. Also you can see Doi Inthanon from here. Mae Aep Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall surrounded by hills. Here you can enjoy canoeing and the best time is during October-March. The national part has only 7 house accommodation and visitors must bring their own sleeping bag and food, located in Amphoe Hot, Chiang Mai.
