Prachin Buri National Museum, Chonburi

This archeological museum is the main museum for artifacts found in seven provinces: Prachin Buri, Nakhon Nayok, Chacherngsao, Chonburi, Chantaburi, Trad, and Rayong. There are many displays of important artifacts uncovered from ancient cities during Dvaravati Period (6th-13th centuries). Thai arts from various periods are also on display for comparative study, including artifacts found in the ocean near the island of Koh Kram in Chonburi. On special occasions, temporary exhibitions are created and put on display. The museum is located 200 metres from City Hall in Tambon Na Mueang, Amphoe Mueang. The museum is open from 9.00 am-4.00 pm from Wednesdays-Sundays, except for national holidays. Admission is 150 baht. More details are available at 0 3721 1586.
