Bang Tao Beach Guide

Home to white sands, Laguna Phuket and a huge number of quality hotels, villas and restaurants

Overview of Bang Tao Beach

Bang Tao Beach is a stunning 8-kilometer stretch of white sand with crystal clear water and is located in Phuket. It is one of the longest beaches in Phuket and is dominated by the Laguna Phuket resort complex, which includes five luxury hotels and an 18-hole golf course. Visitors to Bang Tao can enjoy a quiet beach experience by walking to the northern end of the beach, which is less developed. There are a number of shops, restaurants, and bars near the entrance to Laguna Phuket and the nearby town of Cherng Talay.

Accommodation options include resorts outside of the Laguna Phuket complex as well as small hotels between Bang Tao and Surin Beach. The Laguna Phuket resort offers a range of activities, including golf, elephant trekking, horseback riding, and rock climbing. It also has five spas for those looking for a pampering experience. Bang Tao is a great place for snorkeling, windsurfing, and other water activities.

At night, Bang Tao transforms into a lively destination with a range of bars and entertainment options. The beach has three beach clubs that provide great evening entertainment, including live music and internationally renowned DJs. The Laguna Phuket complex and nearby areas have a good selection of bars, making it a popular place for families to enjoy a night out.
