Surat Thani, located on the west of the Gulf of Thailand, is the largest of the southern provinces of the country.
The Ang Thong National Marine Park, which is known for islands like Koh Samui is situated here. Other islands like Koh Phangan, which is the site of a monthly Full Moon Party, the popular diving site Koh Tao can also be found in this province.
