This national park is 71 kilometres from the provincial city of Rayong. Follow Sukhumvit Road and turn right at the Khao Din Intersection, Km. 274. Turn left and proceed 17 kilometres further. Its headquarters is located in Tambon Thung Khwai Kin. Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park covers the areas of Amphoe Khao Chamao and Amphoe Klaeng of Rayong province and Amphoe Kaeng Hang Maeo of Chanthaburi province. The forest is intact. Declared as a national park on 31 December, 1975, Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park covers an area of 52,300 rai. It is the source of the Prasae River. Some of the fora include rosewood, Burmese ebony, Afzelia xylocarpa, Malobar ironwood, Yang, eaglewood, wild orchids, decorative bulbous plants, raltan, bamboo, and ferns. The National Park has two nature trails for tourists to explore all sorts of fora, herbs, salt lick, animal habitats, and enjoy the scenic view. The trails are 2 kilometres (one hour) and 3 kilometres (one and a half hours), respectively. Prior to entering, tourists are subject to register at the tourist centre.
