Phetbura Buddhist Park, Khao Yai

Phetbura Buddhist Park is located in Sadiang Sub-district, Phetchabun. There is  the Phra Phuttha Maha Thammaracha Chaloem Phrakiat , the world’s largest replica of the revered Phra Phuttha Maha Thammaracha. This sacred Buddha statue was modeled after the original housed at Wat Trai Phum and is deeply respected by the people of Phetchabun . The statue is cast from pure brass, weighing over 45 tons , with a width of 11.984 meters , a height of 16.5899 meters , and reaching 35 meters from the ground. It was constructed in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great on the occasion of his 84th birthday (7th cycle) on December 5, 2011 , serving as a symbol of the people’s commitment to preserving Buddhism in the province. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the ceremony to enshrine the Buddha’s relics at the top of the statue’s chulamongkut (royal crown) and performed the sacred eye-opening ritual . Additonally, Phetbura Buddhist Park is also a relaxing recreational spot, perfect for walking, exercising, or cycling around the park. Visitors can capture stunning sunset photos of the grand Buddha statue against the evening sky. Moreover, there are the  Green Market , offering a variety of fresh produce, OTOP (One Sub-district One Product) goods, and local handicrafts. Additionally, there are cozy cafés where visitors can enjoy a refreshing drink and unwind in a serene atmosphere.
