The geography in the Ao Manao area is characterised by sandy beaches interspersed with large and small rocks. The next area is a plain at the foot of the hill. This mountain is known as “Khao Tanyong”, and it is about 293 metres above sea level. Ao Manao is a long stretch of beach from the eastern coast of Pattani Province. There is a 4- kilometres-long curved bay connecting and rocks separated by alternating curved beaches periodically. One side is adjacent to Thaksin Ratchaniwet Palace, including a viewpoint on the rocky slopes by the sea. A bird’s-eye view of Ao Manao can be seen from above. The beach area has an arboretum and shady pine trees suitable for relaxation. Nearby, there is private accommodation available. In addition, there is a 1-kilometre-long beach forest nature trail. The plants found here prefer dry conditions, e.g., fish poison tree, Atalantia monophyla, Seashore screwpine (similar to pineapple), etc. The Park is still in a preparatory state awaiting the announcement of its establishment as an official national park. Therefore, there is no fee to enter the area.
