This museum comprises three modern Thai houses built with hardwood, originally connected by terraces. Currently, only one of these houses is accessible to tourists. The house is partitioned into four distinct exhibition rooms; Buddha Room: Crafted by Hainanese artisans, this room features a curved wooden roof and three sections of sash windows. It houses a standing stucco Buddha image from the Sukhothai period and various Buddha images from the Rattanakosin period, making it a visually stunning space. Master’s Bedroom (Phraya Atthayasaiwisut) This room displays an array of personal items and collectables, including a large Khan Sakhon bowl traditionally used for preparing holy water. Master’s Office (Phraya Athayasaiwisut) This area showcases various certificates of royal decorations awarded to Phraya Athayasaiwisut. Khunying Khae’s Bedroom This room features a complete set of floral-patterned facial cleansing products from England and a lady’s handbag made from maka wood (Afzelia xylocarpa (Kurz) Craib), as well as, Benjarong (Thai porcelain with designs in five primary colours), from the Ayutthaya period. Additionally, the museum honours the culinary heritage of Uttaradit Province through Ms. Chidduang Kanokmani, Phraya Athayasaiwisut’s daughter, who invented the recipe for Khanom Thian Sawoey. This traditional Thai dessert is a renowned local delicacy, made from glutinous rice, brown sugar, honey, and white sesame and baked with candle smoke. Open daily 10.00-16.00 hrs.
