Lamnam Nan National Park was announced a national park on 30 September 1998. Its Phu Phaya Pho summit with a height of 1,350 metres marks a boundary between Phrae and Uttaradit provinces. The park enjoys a cool climate year-round, with heavy rainfall from May to September and colder temperatures during winter. Interesting Attractions are as follows: Aquarium This facility accommodates freshwater fish species; such as, Silver Barb. Open daily 08.00-17.00 hrs. Sirikit Dam Reservoir This large reservoir offers many rapids and islands, an ideal spot for rafting and sightseeing. Kaeng Nang Phaya These are beautiful rapids of various sizes in the Nang Phaya Stream. with water flowing year-round and offering stunning natural beauty. In addition, many small waterfalls; such as, Namtok Choeng Thong, Namtok Huai Mun, and Namtok Doi Pha Mok are located within Lamnam Nan National Park.
