Key Attractions in Phu Soi Dao National Park; Phu Soi Dao Waterfall This five-tiered waterfall flows all year-round, with each level having its unique name – Phu Soi Dao, Skaw Duean, Muean Fun, Kannikar, and Supaphon.  Sai Thip Waterfall A seven-tiered waterfall, each level approximately 5-10 metres high, surrounded by a lush, moist forest rich in green moss. Pine Forest Meadows During the rainy season (August to September), the meadow is adorned with various wildflowers like the Ngon Nak (Murdannia giganteum), Soi Suwanna (Utricularia bifida L.), and Ya Rak Hom (Salomonia longiciliata Kurz.). In winter, visitors will find flowers like Kradum Ngoen (Eriocaulon henryanum Ruhle.), orchids (Paphiopedilum villosum (Lindl.) Stein,) and maple trees, which turn a beautiful red. Phu Soi Dao’s Son Sam Bai (Pinus kesiya) Plain A flat area on the mountain, situated at an elevation of 1,633 metres, offering the country’s biggest vast grasslands and stunning sunset views. Visitors need to bring their tents and food as this spot has no accommodations or food services. Thai-Laos Border Marker A significant landmark established after the Battle of Ban Romklao, marking the boundary between Thailand and Lao PDR. To get there: The trek to Phu Soi Dao’s peak is a 6.5 km hike from Phu Soi Dao Waterfall along Highway No. 1268, taking about 4-6 hours. Visitors are required to arrange for a park ranger to guide them, and porter services are available. The park allows hikes between 08.00-14.00 hrs.
