The dam is constructed with an earth-filled design and features a clay core. Standing at a height of 113.60 metres, it spans 810 metres in length and boasts a width of 12 metres on the ridge. The reservoir associated with the dam has an impressive maximum storage capacity of 9,510 million cubic metres of water, making it the third-largest reservoir in Thailand, following Srinakarin Dam Reservoir and Bhumibol Dam. Chalermprakiat Bridge Constructed in 2004 to commemorate Queen Sirikit’s 72nd birthday, the bridge is officially named “Chalermprakiat Queen Sirikit Bridge.” A royal message plaque and the Queen’s royal cypher adorn the bridge, symbolising her significant contributions. Dam Crest Area Above the dam lies a vast freshwater lake with stunning views, especially at sunset. Visitors can experience the lifestyle of local fishermen who live on rafts in the reservoir.
