Exclusive Small Group Phi Phi Islands Sunrise or Day Trip
Picture yourself on a speedboat at sunrise, cutting through calm turquoise waters with just nine other travelers, heading toward some of Thailand’s most famous islands. This isn’t your typical crowded tour boat experience. The first glimpse of Maya Bay—yes, the actual beach from Leonardo DiCaprio’s “The Beach”—still gives you chills despite all the photos you’ve seen. You’ll spend a full hour here soaking in the dramatic limestone cliffs and unspoiled sand. But honestly, watching wild monkeys dive and swim at Monkey Beach might steal the show. These cheeky primates are incredibly entertaining as they leap from rocks into the crystal-clear water, completely unbothered by your presence.
V. Marine Tour keeps things civilized with their maximum 10-person group size, so you’re not fighting for space or waiting around. The day flows smoothly: 20 minutes getting oriented at Royal Phuket Marina, then you’re off to Maya Bay for that iconic hour-long visit. The monkey spotting is quick but memorable—just 10 minutes of pure entertainment. Lunch happens at Phi Phi Don with a proper buffet at a 4.5-star resort (much better than the usual boat lunch). You’ll also peek into Viking Cave where locals harvest bird’s nests, then spend a full hour at Bamboo Island for the best snorkeling and swimming of the day. Everything’s included: decent snorkel gear, drinks throughout, even a waterproof phone pouch.
Insider Tip: Book the sunrise option if you can handle the early start—fewer crowds and better photos at Maya Bay, plus the morning light on those limestone cliffs is incredible.
With 367 reviews averaging 4.9 stars, this tour clearly delivers. The 9-hour duration feels about right without being exhausting, and the “easy” difficulty rating is accurate for most people. Just know this isn’t suitable if you’re pregnant, have heart issues, or back problems. The vegetarian lunch option is available if you mention it when booking. Free cancellation takes the pressure off planning.
Safety Tip: The tour provides lifejackets and safety equipment, but avoid this trip if you have cardiovascular issues, spinal injuries, or are pregnant.
