Apsara Beachfront Resort and Villa sits on a secluded stretch of Pakarang Beach in Kukkak, north of central Khao Lak — a self-contained coastal resort rather than a walk-in base for the town’s restaurant strip. The beach is steps from the grounds, with Laem Pakarang about 200 metres along the shore.
Rooms run from Deluxe at 42 square metres through Deluxe Sea View, Family Deluxe and Suite categories, up to Pool Access at 53 square metres. Villas add a separate living area with either an outdoor Jacuzzi or a private pool, topping out at 180 square metres for the Family Pool Villa. None of the current room or villa listings confirm a full kitchen — expect a fridge, minibar and kettle, enough for drinks and snacks rather than proper self-catering.
Insider Tip: Check if your booking is in the main resort or the separate villa zone before comparing categories — they sit apart, with different pool access and privacy, and “beachfront” in the name doesn’t mean every room faces the sea.
Three pool areas with kids’ zones, a spa, fitness centre, restaurants, bar, kids’ room and playground cover most of what a family or couple would want on site. Surf lessons and Thai cooking classes are both on offer, alongside an airport shuttle, room service and parking — worth confirming schedules and any charge for your dates.
The resort puts the drive from Phuket Airport at roughly 90 minutes, longer if traffic is bad. Check-in runs 14:00 to 23:30, checkout 07:00 to noon; arrange a late arrival ahead of time rather than counting on the published window alone.
