First serious month: Tiger Muay Thai (mass-scale, easy to scale intensity) or Petchyindee Kingdom (smaller, deeper Thai-fighter culture). Three months or more: Santai Chiang Mai if you want to fight on the northern circuit; Battle Conquer if you need a wellness reset alongside training; Rawai Muay Thai for Khao Lak’s quieter, all-inclusive setup. Weight loss focus: Kombat Group, Battle Conquer, or Gym Bangarang — all run dedicated bootcamp programs with chef-controlled meals.
Deposits and availability are operator-specific: some charge a percentage, some a fixed amount, and some do not require a deposit. Ask for the cancellation terms in writing before paying, and compare current rural and beach-area quotes on the same package basis.
Most camps welcome drop-ins for $15–25 a session, so the lowest-risk move is always to fly in, train at two or three over a fortnight, and commit to your second month at whichever one clicks.

A few things worth sorting before you land:
- Travel insurance that actually covers Muay Thai.
