Nokhook House is a two-star hostel-guesthouse in Thap Thiang, about 0.7 km from central Trang. It mixes private rooms with dorm beds rather than running as a straight hotel, and the railway station is a 17-minute walk away, roughly 1.3-1.5 km down the road.
Room-wise, expect an 18 sqm Standard Twin, a Deluxe Double and a 38 sqm Family Room with a king bed and bunk bed for four — useful if you’re travelling with kids. Dorm bunks come in 15 sqm four-bed and 25 sqm eight-bed rooms, both mixed. Only the Family Studio has its own kitchen; everyone else shares the communal one downstairs, alongside a garden, a lounge, breakfast, laundry and luggage storage.
Insider Tip: Message the property before you arrive if you need parking, a late check-in, or a transfer — none of it is guaranteed on the generic facility icons, and a five-minute note beforehand saves confusion at the door.
Solo travellers and small groups on mixed budgets do well here — one person takes a dorm bed while a couple books the double, and everyone still meets up in the shared kitchen or garden lounge. It’s a weaker fit if you need guaranteed 24-hour reception or a car parked on site: check both before you book, since parking isn’t confirmed and reception hours can vary.
