The Beach Natural Resort - Koh Kood sits on Bang Bao Bay, on the island’s south-west coast. Only the Beach Villa category is right on the sand, about 5-8 metres from the shore; everything else sits 60-120 metres back, with several pool villas up a hillside.

Six categories cover most budgets and group sizes: a 30 sqm Natural Cottage, 45 sqm Crescent Cottage, Beach Villa, Sense Pool Villa, a 95 sqm Tropical Hill Pool Villa and a 165 sqm two-bedroom Tropical Ocean Pool Villa. Beach Villas and Sense Pool Villas run roughly 60-70 sqm and 70-80 sqm — booking sites quote slightly different figures, so treat the size as approximate rather than exact.

A Thai and seafood restaurant with bar and coffee service, massage and spa treatments, kayaks, canoeing, fishing, snorkelling and a children’s playground fill out the grounds. Selected villas have their own private mineral pools, but there’s no shared pool or guest kitchen anywhere on site.

Insider Tip: Match your room to how far you’re happy to walk. Beach Villas are the closest to the sand; hill villas can sit 100-120 metres up, with golf-cart support for some categories.

Getting There

The usual route combines a flight to Trat, a 45-50 minute road transfer to Laem Sok, and a boat crossing of about an hour, plus waiting time for connections — treat it as a half-day journey, not a quick hop. Arrival windows differ between the operator and Booking.com, so confirm your specific check-in time before you travel.

This suits couples and families drawn to Bang Bao Bay and the private-pool villas. If mobility is a concern, plan to travel with company — some villas sit well up a slope. And if you’re picturing every room on the sand with a big shared pool, this isn’t that resort.
