Blue Elephant Thai Cooking Class with Market Tour in Phuket

Blue Elephant’s Phuket cooking school runs a 4-hour class inside the Governor’s Mansion on Krabi Road, Phuket Town — a century-old Sino-Portuguese building that doubles as the group’s restaurant.

Four dishes make up the curriculum, taught by Blue Elephant’s certified chefs. A guided stop at a fresh market comes first — students see how locals shop before returning to the kitchen with ingredients in hand. After cooking, the group eats what it made at the in-house restaurant, with the option to order extra dishes from the menu. Everyone leaves with a Blue Elephant certificate, apron, shopping bag and printed recipes; a herbal drink is served on arrival and a refreshing towel afterward.

Hotel pickup and drop-off are excluded, so students make their own way to Phuket Town, though public transport options run nearby. A separate child rate applies for ages 6 to 11.
