Kata Beach Diving for Beginners: Pool and Beach Dive

This is a pool-to-ocean beginner course rather than a full open-water certification: eight hours split between pool training and one guided dive off Kata Beach, run by Phuket Dive Tours from their Kata office. No prior certification is required, and the price covers a certified instructor and use of SCUBA equipment. Private transport and souvenir photos, available for cash, are the two costs left out.
