Nightlife in Thailand
14 tours across 2 destinations
Nightlife in Thailand splits into three worlds. Bangkok has sophisticated rooftop bars (Vertigo, Sky Bar, Octave) and cocktail dens (Rabbit Hole, Teens of Thailand) that reward dressing up. The islands and Pattaya lean toward beach parties, Full Moon events, and club strips. And the traditional variety show circuit (Alcazar in Pattaya, Simon Cabaret in Phuket) draws a different crowd altogether. Pub crawls and bar-hopping tours typically run 3-4 hours with a guide who knows the doormen, drink tickets included.

Nightlife in Thailand — FAQ
Is there a dress code?
Rooftop bars and high-end clubs: smart-casual minimum — closed-toe shoes, no vests, collared shirt for men. Beach bars, Walking Street, and backpacker strips: anything goes. Pub crawls usually have no dress code; the one you join sets the tone.
Are drinks included in bar-hopping tours?
Most pub crawls include a welcome shot and 1-2 drink tickets at each venue. After those, you buy your own. Alcazar and Simon Cabaret shows are ticket-only (no drinks included). Budget 200-500 THB for additional drinks.
What time do tours start and end?
Most nightlife tours start 7-9pm and run 3-5 hours. Late-end is usually 1-2am. Late-night transfers back to hotel are sometimes included on organised pub crawls; always confirm before booking.
Is it safe as a solo traveller or woman?
Guided group tours are fine. Walking Street in Pattaya and Bangla Road in Phuket are busy and usually safe, but watch drinks and avoid off-strip sois at 3am. Organised pub crawls specifically are some of the best social environments for solo travellers.
