Facilities
J.B. Hut Bungalows sits on the hillside above Haad Yao on Koh Phangan, about 300 metres from the beach as the crow flies — figure on a short downhill walk to the sand. The Full Moon Party crowds on the other side of the island are roughly a 30-minute drive away, so expect a quieter base with easy day access to the party if you want it.
Rooms and Facilities
All four room and bungalow categories sleep two. The cheapest are 20 sqm fan-only doubles; sea-view doubles with air-con run 22 sqm. Standard fan bungalows are 24 sqm, and the sea-view air-con bungalows top out at 30 sqm — worth the upgrade if you want the view and don’t want to run a fan all night.
The pool, restaurant and bar sit at the centre of the property, backed by a tour desk, bicycle rental, luggage storage and laundry. Wi-Fi is confirmed in the public areas — don’t count on a strong signal reaching every bungalow, since in-room coverage isn’t guaranteed.
Insider Tip: Pick fan or air-con on purpose, not by price alone. The sea-view rooms are air-conditioned; the cheaper standard categories run on fans only, which matters a lot in April and May.
Best For / Less Good For
