Milky Bay Resort is a four-star beachfront stay on Ban Tai Bay, between Thong Sala and Haad Rin rather than inside the Full Moon Party zone itself. Expect roughly 20 minutes by taxi to Haad Rin — but the resort has its own stretch of sand, a beachfront pool and a restaurant, so you’re not stuck waiting for a ride to eat dinner.

Seven room categories span 30 to 84 sqm: Sea Breeze Deluxe at 30 sqm, Urban Deluxe at 32, Urban Terrace at 38, Executive Suite at 48, Honeymoon Suite at 64, Family Suite at 80 and the Oceanfront Pavilion topping out at 84. Urban Deluxe, Urban Terrace, Executive and Family rooms can take an extra child on a rollaway — worth confirming the exact bed setup when you book. Choose Sea Breeze or Oceanfront if beach access matters most; Urban and the suites trade that for more space or a lower floor.

Beyond the rooms: a beachfront pool, a Thai-and-Western restaurant and bar, massage, parking, 24-hour reception, fishing, diving and billiards. Sea Breeze rooms step straight onto the sand.

Milky Bay works for couples and families who want a Ban Tai base with their own pool and restaurant. It’s less suited to anyone chasing the Full Moon crowd on foot, or who needs fast, dependable Wi-Fi for work.
