Phurua Bussaba Resort & Spa is set in Nong Bua, within Phu Ruea district west of Loei town, close to Nong Bua Lake and Phu Rua National Park. This is a mountain-district base built around a spa, garden and terrace rather than a town-centre hotel.
Rooms are air-conditioned with private bathrooms, a tea and coffee maker, hairdryer and free toiletries. Breakfast is a buffet with Asian and American options, and the on-site restaurant serves Thai and local dishes for lunch and dinner, with halal and vegetarian choices available. There’s a garden, terrace and outdoor seating area, plus a minimarket for basics.
Insider Tip: Ask about the spa treatments if you’re spending more than one night. Phu Ruea’s cooler mountain air makes it a genuinely relaxing spot to slow down, unlike the heat further south in Isan.
