Villa Praison is a five-bedroom villa on the cliffs of Phuket’s northwest coast, in a private estate beside Trisara resort. Banana Beach is 350 m away and the airport about 11 km. The house covers 1,600 square metres and suits families: one of the five bedrooms is a children’s dormitory with four bunk beds.
Upstairs living, downstairs pool
The main living space is on the upper floor, under high ceilings, with sliding glass on three sides and a wraparound balcony looking over the sea and forest. The open kitchen has an oven, an ice machine and a rice cooker, and the dining table seats 12. The master bedroom is up here too, with a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom lined with windows.
A spiral staircase leads down to the pool level. Three bedrooms open straight onto the deck, each with its own bathroom, beside the bunk room. The infinity pool measures 12.5 by 6 metres and has a shallow zone. Around it are a shaded sala, an outdoor lounge, daybeds and an al fresco dining table. The games room has a pool table, board games and Apple TV, and a SONOS system runs through the living area.
Insider Tip: Walk down to Banana Beach for sunset, since the cove faces west. Book ahead for PRU, the restaurant at neighbouring Trisara, which is 270 m from the villa: it’s the only dinner out you can reach without a drive.
