Ban Phu Toei Hot Spring Park

Ban Phu Toei Hot Spring Park is a small municipal park on Highway 21 in Wichian Buri district, roughly at the 117km marker between Si Thep and Wichian Buri town. Natural mineral springs surface here, and the local tambon municipality has developed the site into “Phu Toei Spa” — separate-sex bathing rooms with private jacuzzi tubs filled from the hot spring. Walking the park grounds is free; soaking in a jacuzzi costs 100 THB per person.

The jacuzzi rooms are simple but clean, with the mineral water piped in warm rather than scalding. Alongside the soak, the site offers Thai massage (about 240 THB) and foot massage (about 190 THB) — standard small-town spa pricing, not a resort markup. This is a modest local facility built and run by Phu Toei subdistrict municipality, not a commercial wellness resort, so don’t expect polished changing rooms or a shop.

Locals in Wichian Buri knew about the springs long before the municipality built the current park around them, and the site still draws more Thai visitors than foreign tourists — evenings in particular see families from the area coming to soak after work. The surrounding countryside is quiet farmland, a contrast to the more visited hot springs closer to Chiang Mai or Kanchanaburi.

Public transport doesn’t reach the springs directly. Most visitors arrive by private car, motorbike, or as part of a day trip that also covers Si Thep Historical Park, which lies along the same stretch of road. Bring a towel, a change of clothes, and cash — card payment isn’t a given at a facility this size.

Insider Tip: Combine the soak with Si Thep Historical Park earlier in the day; the springs make a good way to unwind after walking the ruins, and both sit on the same road through Wichian Buri district.

Watch out: Don’t assume the “Free” tag some listings use covers everything — it refers to walking the park, not the jacuzzi soak itself, which is the reason most people come.
