Ramayana Water Park, Pattaya

Ramayana Water Park is a large-scale slide-and-wave-pool complex in Na Chom Thian, south of Pattaya, themed around scenes and characters from the Ramayana epic. Online tourist tickets run 1,099 THB (1,199 THB at the gate); Thai residents book at a lower 799 THB online rate. Anyone under 106cm gets in free. The park runs 11:00-18:00 daily except Wednesdays, when it’s closed.

The layout leans hard into the theming — Hanuman and other Ramayana figures appear as statues along the lazy river, and several of the tower slides are built into temple-style structures rather than plain fibreglass. The wave pool generates a decent swell for bodysurfing rather than a token ripple, and there’s a separate kids’ zone with smaller slides and splash features so younger children aren’t competing with the main slide towers. Expect the park to be genuinely busy on weekends and Thai public holidays — the queues for the signature slides can run long by early afternoon.

Insider Tip: Book online rather than buying at the gate — it’s cheaper on both the resident and tourist rate, and booking before 11:00 secures same-day entry without a same-day price bump.

Watch out: The Wednesday closure catches people out — check the calendar before building a day around it, especially if you’re combining it with a Jomtien or Sattahip trip that only allows one shot at visiting.
