Two Sea Garden Song Thale Park

Two Sea Garden sits at the tip of Laem Son On in Songkhla, where Songkhla Lake meets the Gulf of Thailand at the channel that connects them. The park takes its name from the view: stand at the point and you can see both bodies of water at once, lake on one side, open gulf on the other. It’s free to enter and open daily from 06:00 to 18:00.

The park’s landmark is a green-patina metal naga head, standing close to 10 metres tall, positioned right where the two waters meet — it’s promoted locally as the only spot in Thailand where a naga sculpture touches both a lake and the sea simultaneously. The head spouts water from around 8am each day, which is when the sculpture draws the most visitors and photographers. Beyond the naga head, the park has a water sports centre, a local products centre selling southern Thai handicrafts and snacks, and an open recreation ground used for community events.

Pine trees planted along the point give the park its old name — the area was pine forest before being landscaped into parkland — and they provide most of the shade along the paths. It sits between the Songkhla vehicle ferry pier and the Krom Luang Chumphon shrine, both a short walk from the park itself, so most visitors combine the three in one stop rather than treating any of them as a standalone destination.

Insider Tip: Time your visit for around 8am if you want to see the naga head spouting water — outside that window it’s a striking sculpture but a static one.

Watch out: The point is fully exposed to sun and coastal wind with limited shade near the naga head itself. Bring sun protection even for a short visit, and expect a breeze strong enough to be uncomfortable on stormier days.

The park works as a 20-30 minute stop rather than a destination in its own right — pair it with the nearby Krom Luang Chumphon shrine and a walk along Songkhla’s old town waterfront for a fuller half-day out.
