Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport Rail Link (ARL) Ticket

The Airport Rail Link City Line is the fastest and cheapest way from Suvarnabhumi into central Bangkok — about 30 minutes to Phaya Thai for 45 THB, beating a taxi in rush-hour traffic for a fraction of the price. The line connects to the BTS Skytrain at Phaya Thai and to the MRT subway at Makkasan, so you can reach most of the city with one easy change.

Pre-booking through Klook lets you skip the ticket-machine queue: you collect the ticket at the Klook counter on the B floor of the airport, next to the rail link station, and walk straight to the platform. It is a small saving in money but a real one in time when you land alongside several flights and the machines have a line.

Insider Tip: The City Line runs from around 05:15 in the morning until midnight. If your flight lands after about 23:00, clear immigration and baggage and you may miss the last train — plan for a Grab or metered taxi instead. The rail link station is one floor below arrivals; follow the “City Line / Train to City” signs.

Watch out: The City Line has luggage racks but gets crowded at peak times. With large suitcases or a group, a fixed-price private transfer or taxi may be more comfortable, even though it costs more.
