Private Boat Tour with Dolphin Spotting and Snorkelling from Phuket

Like the operator’s other Coral Island run, this is a full private charter — a VIP speedboat booked for your group alone, up to 15 people, rather than a shared seat on a fixed departure. The difference here is the stop at Mai Ton Island, roughly 30 minutes from the pier and known locally as Honeymoon Island for its clear water and a resident pod of dolphins. Sightings aren’t promised, but the boat runs through the channel where the pod is most often seen, and there’s snorkelling over coral and reef fish there regardless.

The 6-8 hour day opens with a briefing at the office, then a short run to Coral Island for snorkelling and a look at the resident hornbill population, before pulling in at Banana Beach Club for a break — food and drinks are available to buy there, though lunch isn’t included in the tour price. From Mai Ton, the boat continues to Koh Rang Yai for fresh fruit and a final stretch of beach time before heading back to Phuket.

Snacks, bottled water, soda and an onboard restroom come standard with the charter, and the operator builds the day to work across ages — infants can ride in a pram or stroller, specialised infant seats are available, and service animals are allowed on board.

Watch out: Dolphin sightings at Mai Ton Island are common but never promised — the pod moves with the season and the tide, so treat it as a bonus rather than the reason to book.
