Banyan Tree Phuket

Banyan Tree Phuket is the all-pool-villa luxury hotel inside Laguna Phuket on northern Bang Tao, one of the official six hotels on Laguna’s Stay page. Every villa has its own private pool across landscaped grounds and lagoons; the January 2024 fact sheet lists 227 pool villas (including Spa Sanctuary and DoublePool collections). Bang Tao Beach is not right outside the door (about a five-to-ten-minute walk, or roughly a minute on the resort’s shuttle buggy) because the villas sit inland around the lagoon rather than on the sand. RAVA is Banyan Tree’s Bang Tao beachfront club (opened 2025 on THG Bang Tao copy); daybed packages and non-guest rules are set by the club.

Entry-level one-bedroom villas run 140 to 270 square metres; two-bedroom villas sit around 350 to 380 square metres for four guests. Larger options include a 435-square-metre three-bedroom residence and the DoublePool collection (1,300–2,500 square metres for groups of up to six). Couples often book a one-bedroom pool villa for privacy; families should pick multi-bedroom categories and skip the adults-only Spa Pool Villa.

Insider Tip: Check which collection you’re booking before you pay. The 550-square-metre Spa Pool Villa is an adults-only, all-inclusive product built around daily wellbeing rituals, a different stay entirely from a standard pool villa, and not the right pick if you’re travelling with kids.

On property, Laguna materials list Banyan Tree Spa (opened 1994 as the group’s flagship spa story), wellbeing centre, main pool, fitness, tennis, Rangers’ Club / kids programming, lagoon activities and a shuttle-boat jetty, plus multiple restaurants and bars (fact sheet names include The Watercourt, Saffron, Banyan Café, Veya, TRE and Tin Tapas Bar; counts vary by listing). Laguna Golf Phuket sits on the same estate. Guests use the destination’s complimentary shuttle bus and lagoon boat for Canal Village and neighbouring hotels; day-pass rules apply for other hotels’ sports and recreation at participating properties.

Phuket International Airport is about 16 km. Allow 20 to 30 minutes by car (official Laguna destination guidance ~25 minutes). Compare live rates and inclusions for the exact villa you want; a standard Pool Villa, a Spa Pool Villa and a DoublePool residence are very different products.
