Chaantalay Hotel sits about 800 metres from Sairee Beach on Koh Tao, close enough to walk to the restaurants, bars and dive shops that line the shore. Mae Haad Pier is further south - plan on a car, scooter or the hotel’s shuttle assistance rather than walking there with luggage.

Room sizes are laid out clearly across five categories. The Standard Twin is the smallest at 22 sqm with two single beds and no balcony, while the Superior Double (30 sqm) and Deluxe Double (35 sqm) both add a king bed and a balcony. Standard and Superior Triple rooms measure 32 sqm and pair a king bed with a single - only the Superior version gets the balcony.

Only the Deluxe Double comes with a microwave, sink and basic tableware; every other room sticks to a fridge and kettle. None of the five categories has a full kitchen, so if you want to cook rather than eat out, this isn’t the property for it - Sairee has plenty of restaurants within that 800-metre walk instead.

Practical tip: Check-in runs until 20:00. If your ferry gets in late, message the hotel ahead - Koh Tao boat schedules shift often enough that a late arrival isn’t unusual, and you don’t want to be locked out at reception.

Shared facilities keep things simple: a swimming pool and a separate children’s pool, a restaurant and pool bar, a small fitness room, a tour desk, motorbike rental and parking. Good for couples, friends or small families who want a pool and an easy walk to Sairee without paying beachfront rates.
