Koh Tao Heights Exclusive Apartments sits partway up the hill above Sairee, Koh Tao’s liveliest beach strip. Sairee itself is about 700 metres away — roughly an eight- to ten-minute walk, easy going down and considerably less fun climbing back with dive gear in tow.
Each of the 45 sqm studios is one open-plan room: a king bed and sofa bed sleep up to three, with the kitchenette, lounge and sleeping area sharing the same space rather than split into separate rooms. The roofed balcony faces the sea and catches the afternoon breeze, which matters here since there’s no pool, restaurant or bar on site — this is a self-catering base, not a resort.
The kitchenette is properly equipped rather than a token kettle-and-fridge setup, so a supermarket run in Sairee covers most meals if you’d rather cook than eat out every night. Air conditioning and a ceiling fan handle Koh Tao’s heat, and Wi-Fi, TV with streaming, a safe and daily housekeeping cover the basics. Staff arrange taxis, laundry and day tours on request, and parking is free if you’ve rented a scooter.
Insider Tip: Book the ferry-terminal pickup at least two days ahead — there’s a fee, and hauling luggage up this hill on foot is a rough first impression of the island.
