Panan Krabi Resort

Panan Krabi Resort is a contemporary four-star property in central Ao Nang, about a five-minute walk from the beach. It runs to 199 rooms and suites across eleven categories, from 40 sqm entry-level rooms up to a 119 sqm family room with its own rooftop jacuzzi. Shops, restaurants and longtail-boat access are all close by, even though the resort itself isn’t beachfront.

Picking a Room

Three 40 sqm categories look over the cliffs, the pool or the sea, each taking up to three adults or two adults with two children on shared bedding. Pool Access steps up to 41 sqm with its own water feature, and the 46 sqm Premier Pool View and 51 sqm Private Outdoor Whirlpool rooms add a private plunge or tub. The 66 sqm Sea View room with an outdoor bathtub is the largest standard category, though its child allowance is lower.

Families get four dedicated options: the 49 sqm Family Pool Access, 48 sqm Family Pool View, 119 sqm Family Rooftop Jacuzzi and a 103 sqm Two-Bedroom Cliff View Suite, each sleeping four. None of the eleven categories has a kitchen — expect a mini-fridge and kettle instead, backed up by the resort’s own restaurants.

Insider Tip: Match the room name carefully to its water feature — “Pool View,” “Pool Access,” “Outdoor Whirlpool” and “Rooftop Jacuzzi” are different products with different sizes and child policies, not marketing variants of the same room.

Two pools (a lagoon-style main pool and a rooftop infinity pool with cliff views), a children’s pool with a slide, Le Panan Spa, a gym, a kids’ club and daily activities round out the grounds, alongside multiple restaurants and bars. Couples and families after a full facility list in central Ao Nang do well here; anyone wanting sand outside their door or a private kitchen should look elsewhere. Railay’s longtail boats leave from the beach itself, while Phi Phi and other island transfers depend on which operator you book.
