Smart Cook Thai Cookery School in Aonang, Krabi

Smart Cook Thai Cookery School runs a 4-hour hands-on class in Ao Nang, Krabi, built around individual cooking stations rather than a shared demo kitchen: each guest gets a wok and workspace to prepare five dishes across the session.

The class covers jasmine and sticky rice, a curry paste made from scratch, and spicy Thai salads using fresh local herbs, as part of the five dishes taught. Everyone eats what they cook, keeps a recipe book, and receives a completion certificate. The school limits each class to 12 people, sized to give the instructor time with each cook in the open-air kitchen.

The price includes food tasting, drinking water, all ingredients, and hotel transfer from Ao Nang, Ao Nam Mao, Krabi Town, Khlong Muang, or Tubkaek, but only with a minimum of two travelers booked together. A solo traveler pays a transfer fee on top: 500 THB from Krabi Town or Khlong Muang, or 600 THB from Tubkaek.
