Where the big shared-boat trips out of Krabi head for Phi Phi or James Bond Island, this is a private charter to a quieter set of islands: a beach used as a filming location for the movie The Mechanic, Chicken Island (Koh Gai) for snorkeling, Railay Beach, and a tide-dependent hidden lagoon locally nicknamed the “Island With a Room.” Operated by 5 Star Marine, the boat is booked for one travel party rather than shared with strangers, and the price scales for a group of up to 15.

The day runs six to eight hours across six stops: a 30-minute office check-in and briefing with coffee or tea, an hour at the movie-location beach, 90 minutes snorkeling and swimming at Chicken Island, two hours at Railay Beach (with time to eat at one of the local restaurants there, spot monkeys, and walk the mangroves), 90 minutes at the hidden lagoon, and a closing hour for fruit and drinks with an optional sunset before the short cruise back to the pier.

Bottled water, carbonated drinks, snacks and on-board restrooms are included in the price. Lunch is not — travelers pay for their own meal at Railay — and neither is the national park entry fee, which runs 400 THB per adult and 200 THB per child, paid in cash to the guide on the day. The operator notes the tour suits all physical fitness levels, with prams, strollers and infant seats available and service animals permitted.

At a perfect 5.0 from 53 reviews, this route has a smaller but more consistent track record than the region’s high-volume island-hopping boats. For travelers weighing it against the busier options out of Krabi, the appeal is fewer crowds at each stop rather than a longer list of islands.

Key Facts:
  • Duration: 6-8 hours
  • Price from: $1,045 (private charter, up to 15 people)
  • Rating: 5.0 (53 reviews)
  • Includes: Private transport, water, soft drinks, snacks, on-board restrooms
  • Excludes: Lunch, national park fee (400 THB adult / 200 THB child, cash)

Watch out: Bring cash in Thai baht for the national park entrance fee — it is collected on the day by the guide and is not folded into the ticket price.

Itinerary

1

Arrive at our offices, check in, receive a complete tour briefing. While receiving your briefing have a coffee, tea or cool drink. Store any luggage you do not require for the tour.

2

Discover The Beautiful Long, White Sandy Beach From The Movie The Mechanic! Relax on the beach, swim in the calm waters or set up under one of the many palm trees available on the beach.

3

In Thai we call this island Koh Gai, which translates to Chicken Island. As you arrive at this island you will immediately see why it has it's name. The rock formation on the island creates a chicken head. This is a great spot for snorkelling with a wide array of marine life and good quality coral. You can also relax on the white sandy beach.

4

Railay beach is a unique location with integrated limestone rock formations and white sandy beaches. Enjoy lunch in one of the many local restaurants, explore the mangroves, see the monkeys and more on Railay.

5

Enter Into A Hidden Lagoon And Discover Why It's Called The "Island With A Room". Swim in the lagoon, explore the mangroves and learn why this lagoon is only available in certain tide conditions.

6

Just a short ride from our pier, this is our last stop of the day where you can enjoy some fresh fruits and cool drinks. Catch the sunset if you like before taking a short cruise into our pier.
