Junior Suite
Peninsula Beach Resort is a nine-room, four-star hotel inside the wider Blue Haven Bay and Siam Royal View estate on Klong Son Bay, Koh Chang’s northwestern shore. Its own patch of private beach faces the bay, and Ao Sapparot and the Koh Chang Ferry Terminal are both a 2-3 km drive away.
Every room here is the same 50 sqm Junior Suite — king bed, a separate seating and dining area, and a patio or balcony looking over sea or garden. Booking.com allows two adults plus one child, with a cot on request (confirm the child’s age and any charge when you book). A fridge or minibar, coffee machine and kettle cover breakfast and snacks, but there’s no stove or kitchenette, so dinner means the restaurant or Beach Club.
Between the hotel and the surrounding estate you get an outdoor pool, the private beach, a restaurant and Beach Club, a bar, a coffee shop, room service, a small fitness centre and a children’s play area. A free shuttle runs guests to Klong Son village centre; airport transfers cost extra and need booking ahead.
Insider Tip: Ask at check-in whether the activity or restaurant you want is inside the nine-room hotel or elsewhere on the wider estate — the free shuttle covers the distance, but not everything sits outside your suite door.
This suits couples and small families who want beach access without hunting for a room type — there’s only the one Junior Suite, and the surrounding estate adds more dining and activities than nine rooms alone would suggest. It’s a poorer fit if you want a strip of independent restaurants right outside the gate or a walk-in base on White Sand Beach, which is 6.9 km away by road. Sand and water clarity at the private beach also vary with the tide and season.
- Private beach a few steps from the suite
- Free shuttle into Klong Son village
- Pool, restaurant, Beach Club and gym on the estate
- Simple one-suite layout — no guesswork on room type
- No kitchen or kitchenette in the room
- Only one suite type, so no upgrade path
- White Sand Beach needs a 6.9 km drive
- Some estate facilities are a shuttle ride, not a walk
The Koh Chang guide breaks down the island’s ferry piers and how the northwest estates differ from the main west-coast beach strips.
