Bangla Boxing Stadium
สนามมวยบางลา
Bangla Boxing Stadium is one of Patong’s two big Muay Thai venues, in a building behind Jungceylon shopping centre and opposite Banzaan Fresh Market. It started on Bangla Road, which gave it the name, and moved to this larger site. It is the most famous fight venue in Phuket and a filming location for season 3 of The White Lotus. As of October 2026, fights are advertised every night, with the first bout at 21:00.
It is not the same place as Patong Boxing Stadium on Sainamyen Road, which is a separate venue under a kilometre away with its own ticket site, its own fight card and a Monday to Saturday programme. Both are called “Patong Muay Thai” on some booking sites, so check the name on the ticket.
What a night is like
Doors open around 20:00 and the first bout is at 21:00, with a card of about 8 fights. Each bout starts with the wai khru ram muay, the ritual dance fighters perform for their teachers, then a bout of up to five rounds. Both men and women fight, Thai and international fighters are on the bill, and English commentary runs through the night. The building is indoors and ventilated but, according to a ticket agent’s FAQ, not air-conditioned, so dress light.
There are two seat types: a stadium seat, and VIP ringside seats nearer the ropes, with ringside numbers limited each night. A free T-shirt comes with each ticket on the listings we checked. Food and drink stalls sit outside, and the stadium has a bar inside. Outside drinks are not allowed, and short phone clips are fine but tripods and professional gear are not.
Tickets
In October 2026 listings the stadium seat started at about 1,500 to 1,600 THB and VIP ringside at about 1,900 to 2,000 THB, depending on the seller. Tickets are sold at the box office and through booking platforms, and the stadium is also sold on Viator, GetYourGuide, Trip.com and Expedia under similar names. Read the exchange instructions on any voucher before the night, because most are exchanged at the stadium box office. Cancellation and date-change rules are set by the seller, so ask them before you pay.
Insider Tip: Book ringside early. The stadium seat is a fine view, but the VIP ringside rows are limited and sell on a first-come basis.
Watch out: Some sources say fights are nightly and others list only some nights, and a few sites still show the old Bangla Road address. Confirm the card for your date with the seller, and check you are heading to Soi Banzaan, not Sainamyen Road, before you take a taxi.
Getting there
From the end of Soi Bangla, cross the main road, walk along Soi Sansabai and the stadium is at the end. Taxis and tuk-tuks know it by name from anywhere in Patong, and a ticket agent says there is parking behind the building.
