Watch out: there’s no fixed public transport route into Bang Bai Mai — a taxi, rented scooter, or hotel-arranged transfer from Surat Thani town is the practical way in, and boat tour timing depends on tides in the smaller channels, so confirm departure time when you book rather than just turning up.
