Muko Ha

Five small limestone islands rising from the Andaman Sea create one of Krabi’s most unspoiled island clusters. Muko Ha, meaning “Five Islands” in Thai, offers crystal-clear waters perfect for snorkeling and swimming, with minimal tourist development preserving its natural beauty. The islands feature white sand beaches, dramatic rock formations, and colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish just meters from shore.

Snorkeling around the islands reveals colorful parrotfish, angelfish, and schools of sergeant majors darting between brain corals and sea fans. The main beaches on the larger islands provide soft white sand perfect for relaxing between water activities. Rock climbing enthusiasts can tackle the limestone cliffs on several islands, while kayaking allows exploration of hidden lagoons and sea caves accessible only at certain tides. The sound of gentle waves lapping against limestone walls creates a natural soundtrack, while the scent of salt air mingles with tropical vegetation growing from cliff crevices.

Tranquility defines the Muko Ha experience, with far fewer visitors than popular destinations like Phi Phi Islands. Since no accommodation exists on the islands, plan for day trips and bring sun protection, drinking water, and snorkeling gear. The dry season from November to April offers the best weather and sea conditions for island hopping adventures.
