Pink Water Lily Field, Ban Na

A roughly 5-rai pond of pink lotus flowers sits beside Highway 3051 in Ban Na district, Nakhon Nayok — a small, privately run field, not a lake and not a temple, despite some older listings describing it as one. A bamboo walkway extends out over the water for photos, and the family running the site sells freshly cut lotus flowers alongside it. Entry is free.

The blooming window runs roughly September through February, when seasonal rains keep the pond full enough for the lotus to flower. Like most lotus varieties, the blooms open with the early sun and begin closing again as the day heats up, so the field is really a morning stop: arrive between 07:00 and 10:00 for flowers fully open, rather than the wilted, closed buds you’ll find by early afternoon.

This is worth being clear-eyed about before making the trip: it’s a modest roadside pond, not the far larger and more famous Red Lotus Sea (Thale Bua Daeng) at Nong Han Lake in Kumphawapi, Udon Thani, where longtail boats carry visitors out through open water thick with blooms. Ban Na’s field has no boats — you view it from the fixed walkway at the water’s edge — and the scale is a fraction of Udon Thani’s lake. What it does offer is convenience: it’s a roadside stop on the way through Nakhon Nayok rather than a destination requiring its own day trip.

Insider Tip: Don’t linger past mid-morning expecting the flowers to still be open — by 11:00 in the dry-season heat, most blooms have already closed for the day.

Watch out: This is private land with a working access path, not a paved tourist facility — footing on the walkway can be uneven, and there’s minimal shade if you’re visiting at the tail end of the morning bloom window.
