Zucata Sheep Farm — known for years as Swiss Sheep Farm before the operator rebranded, and still signed that way in places — is a themed petting farm in Cha-am, Phetchaburi, built around Alpine chalet-style buildings and pens of grazing sheep, ponies, and goats. Recent visitors report entry at 50-60 THB for Thai adults (30 THB for children) and around 150 THB for foreign adults, with feed for the animals sold separately. It’s a petting farm and photo stop first, with a bakery, café, and a modest amount of souvenir shopping folded in.

The animal pens sit alongside the shopping pavilions, so you can feed sheep with one hand and browse handicrafts and farm-branded snacks with the other. Extra grass or carrots for feeding, and milk for the baby goats, cost a little more on top of the ticket, and the farm also runs paid horse riding, a horse-drawn carriage ride, and archery as separate add-ons. The bakery’s fresh bread and coffee are a reliable stop if you need shade and air conditioning between animal enclosures — the outdoor walkways get warm by late morning.

Watch out: This is a working commercial petting farm, not an animal sanctuary — sheep and ponies are kept in enclosures for feeding, photos, and paid rides. It’s a fine stop for young kids who want a hands-on animal encounter, but if animal welfare standards matter to you, this isn’t run to sanctuary practices.

Insider Tip: Buy the extra grass or carrots up front if you’re travelling with kids — running back to the counter mid-visit while sheep mob you for food gets old fast.

Visit in the cooler morning or late-afternoon hours — midday sun in the open pens is uncomfortable for both visitors and animals. It’s an easy stop on the way between Hua Hin and Cha-am, and works well combined with Puek Tian Beach or Maruekhathaiyawan Palace for a half-day loop. Bring cash in small denominations for the extras, and comfortable shoes — most of the visit is on foot across open ground.
