The Horseshoe Point

The Horseshoe Point is a large equestrian resort inland from central Pattaya, near Mabprachan Reservoir in Bang Lamung district — not a coastal viewpoint, despite what the name might suggest. Spread across roughly 1,500 acres, it centres on the International Riding School, one of the bigger horse-riding operations in Southeast Asia, alongside a hotel, restaurants, and a run of activity-park attractions aimed at day visitors as much as overnight guests.

The riding school runs more than 100 horses across several breeds, with five indoor and outdoor arenas and rides pitched at every level — a short lead-rein pony ride for young children, up through two-hour trail rides for experienced riders through the surrounding countryside. You don’t need to book a hotel room to use it: non-guests can turn up to see and interact with the horses at no charge, and book lessons or trail rides separately. Beyond riding, the grounds host mountain biking, paintball, water-balloon games, and racquetball and squash courts, making it more of a full activity resort than a single-attraction stop.

Watch out: several recent visitor reviews note the resort’s buildings and rooms show their age — expect a working equestrian and activity centre rather than a polished modern resort, and go for the riding and grounds rather than luxury accommodation.

It’s geared toward families and riders rather than photographers chasing a sea view, so set expectations accordingly before the drive out. The site sits off the main Pattaya-Sattahip corridor in Pattaya’s wider Bang Lamung district; bring closed shoes if you plan to get near the horses, and budget half a day if you want to combine riding with the other activity options on-site.
