Also known as: Thepprasit Weekend Market, Pattaya Weekend Market, Talat Thepprasit, Kankeha Thepprasit Market, ตลาดเทพประสิทธิ์พัทยา
Thepprasit Night Market has operated on the southern edge of Pattaya since 1999, making it one of the longest-running markets in the region. Set on Thepprasit Road near its junction with Sukhumvit Road — close to the Outlet Mall and the Jomtien side of town — it draws a largely local crowd of residents from the greater Pattaya area, with tourists filling in around the edges. Over 500 stalls spread across a covered site selling cheap clothing, shoes, bags, jewellery, watches, phone accessories, toys, and household goods. Knock-off branded items are common; genuine quality varies, so inspect before buying. The food section is genuinely good: look for BBQ seafood, grilled pork skewers, roasted duck over rice, papaya salad, mango sticky rice, coconut ice cream, and a range of fresh fruit juices. Prices are low, and the food stalls are busiest early in the evening before tables fill.
The market runs mainly Friday through Sunday evenings, roughly 5:30 PM to 11 PM, when it operates at full capacity — on quieter weekdays you may find a third of stalls shuttered. Arrive before 7 PM if you want comfortable walking space; by 8 PM on a Saturday, the main lanes are shoulder-to-shoulder. Parking on-site fills fast, so a motorbike taxi or songthaew from central Pattaya is often the easier option, particularly on weekends.
- Busiest Friday–Sunday, roughly 5:30 PM–11 PM
- Free entry; no admission charge
- 500+ stalls — clothing, accessories, food, souvenirs, electronics
- Located on Thepprasit Road near Sukhumvit Road junction, south Pattaya
- Established 1999; largely serves a local Thai and expat crowd
Watch out: Counterfeit goods are sold openly — branded watches, bags, and sunglasses that look convincing but are illegal to import. Customs confiscate them at the airport. Stick to the food and souvenirs if you want to take things home without hassle.
Insider Tip: Head straight for the food section when you arrive rather than saving it for last. The best stalls — particularly the grilled seafood and the duck rice vendor — sell out or lose quality by 9 PM, and you want your stomach empty enough to do them justice.
