Museflower Retreat & Spa sits in green hills beside a lake, a short drive from the airport outside Chiang Rai. This is its shortest yoga package, three nights with hatha yoga twice a day, guided meditation, a private wellness session and a massage. It runs all year, so you choose the dates.
- Duration: 4 days, 3 nights, any arrival date
- Yoga: hatha, morning and afternoon, plus guided meditation
- Included treatments: a group vibrational healing workshop, a private 60-minute wellness session, a signature massage
- Meals: three lacto-ovo vegetarian buffet meals a day
- Transfers: return pickup from Chiang Rai airport or Bus Terminal 1
How the stay runs
Check-in is from 2pm, and you should be at Museflower by 3pm for the first yoga class. After that, mornings start with hatha yoga and, on scheduled days, meditation, and afternoons bring the second class. Fitted around them are a group vibrational healing workshop, a private 60-minute session with one of the resident practitioners and a signature massage. Times move with teacher and therapist availability, so you get your own itinerary on arrival. Check-out is at noon.
Between sessions there’s a Himalayan crystal salt pool, a herbal steam and mineral bath, a gym, bicycles to borrow and the lake.
Food
Meals are buffet-style Thai and Asian vegetarian dishes using produce from Museflower’s organic garden and aquaponics system when it’s available. Eggs and dairy are used. Vegan and gluten-free meals can be arranged in advance. Herbal tea, purified water and fruit snacks are available all day.
Rooms
The retreat has 16 rooms in garden cottages near the lake. You can book a private standard room or a shared standard room for two; both have air conditioning, a mosquito-screened window and a private bathroom with a hot shower.
Watch out: Wi-Fi covers the public areas, not the rooms, and from May to October the green season brings more insects, so pack repellent.
Who it’s for
Three nights is short, so this works best as a gentle break with spa time rather than a strict programme, and the teacher offers variations for beginners. Founder Tania Ho, who trained in spa management and worked at Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons and Six Senses, runs the place on a “Simple is Bliss” motto. If three nights isn’t enough, five- and seven-night versions add more meditation, sessions and massages.
Insider Tip: the included transfer covers Chiang Rai Bus Terminal 1 as well as the airport, so the Green Bus from Chiang Mai works as well as a flight. Stay on until Terminal 1, beside the Night Bazaar, rather than getting off at Terminal 2.
Getting there
Fly to Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai International Airport (CEI) and send your flight details ahead; the driver waits near domestic arrivals with a Museflower sign. Change of plans? The full deposit is safe until 30 days before arrival; between 15 and 29 days out half of it comes back, and in the final fortnight it is gone.
