Jungle Experience is Koh Phangan’s recurring jungle party brand, a ticketed outdoor electronic night in the forest inland from Ban Tai (Baan Tai), usually landing as the warm-up before the Full Moon Party at Haad Rin. It is not a free beach gathering and it is not Halfmoon Festival. Think smaller capacity, two-stage electronic programme, and proper jungle terrain underfoot.
How It Fits the Phangan Party Calendar
A typical lunar week on the island runs something like:
- Jungle Experience: Ban Tai jungle, often the night before Full Moon
- Full Moon Party: Haad Rin beach, full-moon night
- Halfmoon Festival: Ban Tai Harmony Beach Club + Magic Forest, on published bi-weekly dates
Exact spacing shifts with the moon and with Buddhist holidays (alcohol bans can move Full Moon by a day). Treat local confirmation as mandatory in the final week.

Venue & What to Expect
Where: Ban Tai jungle, south Koh Phangan. Guides often place it about 1 km inland from the Ban Tai beach-road / 7-Eleven strip. Plus-code style pins on event listings point to Ban Tai, Koh Phangan District.
Music: House, techno, and drum & bass across two stages (line-ups change each edition; check the official page for that night’s artists).
Extras past editions have advertised: fire performance, UV body paint, dancers, and sometimes side attractions (event pages have mentioned a Muay Thai arena and VIP/backstage upgrades). Treat extras as edition-specific.
Hours: The October night opens at midnight and the November night at 22:00; both run until about 06:00. Check your ticket for that night.
Crowd: Smaller and more electronic-focused than Haad Rin Full Moon; more festival-production than a random beach bar, less polished than Halfmoon’s three-stage Magic Forest on a peak weekend.

- Prices change by night and tier. Check Megatix / the official checkout for that night.
- Bring ID. Age rules for alcohol venues in Thailand often mean 20+; confirm on the listing.
Avoid Facebook resale screenshots and beach touts claiming “guaranteed entry.”
Getting There & Home
Base yourself in Ban Tai for the shortest transfer. Haad Rin works if you are stacking Jungle + Full Moon in the same stay. Budget a songthaew both ways.
- Songthaew or Grab/taxi from Thong Sala or Ban Tai beach road to the jungle junction
- Final approach can be rough, dark, and slippery after rain. Scooters are possible but higher risk at night
- Arrange a return ride before the peak exit crush at sunrise
Book ferries to Koh Phangan on 12Go if you are coming from Samui the same week.
What to Bring
- Closed shoes (non-negotiable on jungle ground)
- Insect repellent
- Cash in small notes
- Phone on a lanyard / waterproof case + charged battery pack
- Light long sleeve for after midnight
- Only the cash and key you need: passport photo on phone, valuables in the hotel safe
Same drink-spiking and theft basics as any Phangan party night. Drugs remain illegal and heavily policed.
Safety Tip: Twisted ankles on dark roots are more common here than glass cuts on Haad Rin. Confirm travel insurance covers nightlife in Thailand.
