Isla keeps this one simple. You stay five nights in a studio apartment in Chaweng on Koh Samui, take one small-group reformer Pilates class at its studio each day, and eat breakfast and lunch at Isla Café, downstairs from the studio. The rest of the day is free, and you choose your own arrival date.
- Duration: 6 days, 5 nights, any arrival date
- Classes: one group reformer class a day, never more than 10 people
- Room: 31m² studio apartment with a king bed, kitchen and balcony
- Meals: breakfast and lunch at Isla Café; dinners not included
- Transfers: Samui airport pickup and drop-off included
How the week works
The team meets you at Samui airport, about 10 minutes away, and takes you to the apartment, where a welcome kit is waiting. Each day of your stay you walk 12 minutes to the studio (3rd floor, 4/38 Moo 2, Chaweng) for a class, then eat lunch at the café. The classes are the studio’s regular sessions on ten wooden reformers, taught by the teachers who run them all year, among them a Balanced Body certified teacher with more than 2,000 hours of group classes behind her. Skip a class whenever you want a rest day. Afternoons and evenings are free.
The room and food
The studio apartment has one king bed, a private kitchen, a balcony over the garden and use of a pool. There’s no restaurant in the building, which is why breakfast is at the café. Lunch is covered up to 700 baht from the menu each day, and the café handles vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free diets and nut allergies. Dinners are up to you, and Chaweng has plenty of choice.
Watch out: this is a light-touch week, not an intensive. If you want two or three sessions a day, private one-to-ones are sold as upgrades.
Who it’s for
Mixed levels are the norm here: first time on a reformer or years of practice, both work, because the teacher adjusts each exercise for mixed levels and the approach is low-impact and joint-friendly. A partner who doesn’t do Pilates can share the apartment; Isla quotes a price on request. Expect strength, mobility and control with room to rest, not a bootcamp.
Insider Tip: grip socks are needed for the reformer and are sold at the studio, so you don’t have to pack them.
Practical
Fly into Samui (USM), which has direct flights from Bangkok. Bus-and-ferry tickets via Surat Thani are cheaper but much slower. Koh Samui is warm all year, the driest months are usually December to April, and the wettest weeks tend to fall from late October to early December. Free cancellation runs until 30 days before arrival. From 29 to 15 days out, half the deposit comes back, and inside the final two weeks none of it does. You settle the rest when you get to Samui, in cash, by card or by bank transfer.
