Full Day Treasure Hunt on Koh Tao

Treasure Island Challenge is a six-hour clue-solving route around Koh Tao, run in teams of up to 12 from the operator’s office near the main ferry terminal in Mae Haad — look for the building with big glass doors and windows, directly opposite the 7-Eleven.

Across the day, teams work through a set of clues that lead to four different beaches and two viewpoints, get help from locals along the way, snorkel to find clues among the reef, and stop for local food and drinks before finding the treasure itself. It runs on movement and problem-solving rather than a fixed sightseeing stop, a different pace to a standard Koh Tao boat tour.

The $61 price covers private transportation between stops, an English-speaking guide, lunch, snorkelling equipment, insurance and all fees and taxes — there is nothing extra to budget for beyond personal spending. Guides and materials are available in Thai and English.

Watch out: this is a shared group activity, not a private charter — teams of up to 12 take part together, so solo travellers and couples should expect to be grouped with other guests rather than booking the day exclusively.
