Koh Tao VIP Snorkelling Tour
Highlights
- VIP snorkelling to 3 Koh Tao sites
- Group capped at 12 adults
- Crew of 5+ for personal service
- Lunch and fresh fruit onboard
- Hotel transfer from Koh Samui
The 100 Degrees East Marine Team runs this snorkelling day trip to Koh Tao from Koh Samui, starting with a 90-minute speedboat crossing from the centre in Bangrak. The standard booking is capped at 4 guests; the boat itself carries up to 12 adults (14 with children aged 4-12) plus a crew of 5 or more, so larger parties need to contact the operator directly to check availability before booking.
Once at Koh Tao, the crew works through three snorkel sites chosen on the day for conditions, with around five hours total between the water and onboard breaks. Lunch, fresh fruit, soft drinks, life jackets and snorkelling equipment are included, along with restroom access on the boat and full insurance cover. The return crossing gets guests back to Bangrak by around 4:30 pm, with transport onward to accommodation included.
At $183, this sits well above cheaper Khai Islands and Phuket snorkel boats, reflecting the longer crossing, small group cap and five-person crew. It carries the highest review count and a perfect rating among the comparable Koh Tao and Koh Samui snorkel trips.
Watch out: the standard booking is capped at 4 guests — solo travellers and couples join a shared boat that can carry up to 12-14 people in total, so this isn’t a private charter despite the small per-booking number. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund.
Insider Tip: first-time snorkellers get a full in-water introduction from the crew, and life jackets and rings stay available throughout, so weaker swimmers aren’t left out of the reef stops.
