AWA Koh Chang is a four-star resort at 6/5/1 Moo 4 on Kai Bae Beach — Booking.com and Agoda still list it under the longer “Awa Resort Koh Chang” name, but hotel ID 570379 confirms it’s the same property on Koh Chang.

Five room categories run from the 40-square-metre Superior Hillside rooms up to a 108-square-metre Beachfront Suite, with Deluxe, Deluxe Premium and Deluxe Beachfront rooms all at 54 square metres. Hillside rooms sit across the road from the beach, so despite the beachfront address, not every category opens straight onto the sand. Deluxe Premium rooms sleep up to four.

Rooms come with a minibar and kettle rather than a cooking kitchen. A long outdoor pool, spa, kids’ club and five dining and drink venues make up the rest of the resort, alongside meeting and wedding facilities, Wi-Fi and parking.

Insider Tip: Check both the room category and the tide before you book. Beachfront and Hillside rooms have very different access, and Kai Bae’s shore can turn narrow, rocky or muddy at low tide — worth knowing if a swim right off the sand is the plan.

Check-in runs 14:00 to midnight, checkout by noon. Reaching the island still means a ferry and road transfer, so confirm any late connection with the resort ahead of travel rather than assuming it’ll line up with the front-desk schedule.

Choose AWA for a solid pool-and-beach resort setup with real room variety. Look elsewhere if crossing the road for Hillside rooms, or tidal beach access, would bother you.
